Your Birth-Time 5-Element Balance, in Plain English
East Asian wellness maps a person's natural constitution onto five elements — Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, Water. Enter your birth date and time, and we’ll show your element balance and the gentle self-care direction it points toward. A self-awareness tool, not a fortune reading.

How this works
The BaZi (Four Pillars) chart is a traditional East Asian way of describing the climate of your birth moment — the year, month, day, and hour each map to one of the five elements. In TCM-style thinking, your birth-time element balance can point to which constitutional patterns you naturally tend toward. No fortune-telling: it’s a mirror, not a script.
- Your four pillars come from your birth date and time (gregorian calendar).
- Each pillar is one yin/yang element pair — a stem and a branch.
- We count the elements across your chart. More of an element = a stronger natural tendency; less = a gentler one.
- You get plain-English guidance on where to support balance — food, rhythm, sleep, and gentle practices.

FAQ
Is this a fortune reading?
No. This tool only shows your element balance and a wellness-oriented reading of what that can tend toward. It makes no predictions about your life, career, relationships, or future.
Why do you ask for my birth time?
The hour pillar is one of the four pillars. Without a time, we can still read three pillars (year, month, day) — that’s about three quarters of the picture. If you have even a rough idea (“morning”, “midday”), an estimate is fine for a wellness snapshot.
Does this match TCM constitution types?
Roughly, and with care. The element picture is one layer; the classic TCM constitution types (qi deficiency, dampness, heat, etc.) add lived-in layers from how you feel day to day. That’s exactly what the paid Assessment adds on top of this snapshot.
Is my birth data stored?
No. This page calculates entirely in your browser using a local library. Nothing is sent to a server, and we never see your birth date or time unless you choose to share it in a paid report intake.
